Acouo pus Nouormand - Even more Norman

The festivities linked to the 11th Centenary of Normandy will start this month! Altogether, more than 200 events will be organised from April to September and some of them are about to start! Indeed, the official launch of the celebrations will take place on Saturday 30th April, which is Robert’s day! The date’s choice is a nod to Rollon, the Viking chief who signed the Saint-Clair-sur-Epte’s Treaty in 911. Rollon changed his name to Robert when he had to be baptized to become the Duke of Normandy. However, some towns have anticipated the date a little bit, like Deauville, which has started its outdoor exhibition last month. Also, come to visit Normandy’s farms on 17th and 18th April during the “Printemps des Vikings à la ferme” (Easter of the Vikings at the farm) and enjoy special activities linked to Vikings.
